 Homemade Bread and Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

For the Bread:

1. In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center.

3. Pour the yeast mixture and vegetable oil into the well. Stir to combine until the dough comes together.

4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.

5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until it doubles in size.

6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

7. Punch down the dough to remove excess air, then shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.

8. Let the dough rise for another 20-30 minutes.

9. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until it's golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.

For the Butter:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the room-temperature butter and salt. Mix until the salt is evenly distributed. Taste and adjust the salt if needed.

2. If you want to make flavored butter, finely chop fresh herbs like parsley or chives and mix them into the butter.

3. Once your bread has cooled slightly, slice it into thick, warm slices.

4. Spread the freshly made butter generously onto the warm slices of bread.
